Ryan Corsaut was a light in our lives and incredibly loved by all. He passed away unexpectedly on February 6th, 2023 at the age of 32. He is survived by his mother Colleen Corsaut, father Jeffrey Corsaut, brother James Corsaut, as well as his extended family and many friends. Ryan’s spirit will live on through the legacy he built. Throughout his life he brought together a tremendous community of loved ones who will honour and cherish him.
Ryan was a kind, compassionate, and ever curious person. His life was filled with travel, creation, and a love for nature. He honored his indigenous heritage and was deeply involved in his Algonquin ancestry. His devotion, passion, and drive were felt by all of those around him as he would shine doing what he loved. Ryan found his love for cooking in Jasper, Alberta, and continued building his career working across the country and overseas in Australia. He shared his passion and creativity for food both at work and in his personal life. Ryan dreamed big and accomplished everything he strived for. He was an inspiration to watch move through this world, and an incredibly kind and loving person who impacted many people along the way.
To Rycor, Two Feather, Bear and all the other names you gained throughout your legacy of life. To the man who knew how to make everybody laugh, who listened and made you feel seen and heard. The one who always knew what to say, who gave more than he got, and who lit up a room upon entering it. He spread warmth and kindness to every person he met. What a treasure you were to this life. You will be deeply missed. Rycor Baby, Encore Baby.
Ryan will be honored in a ceremony held in London, ON on March 4th, at the Civic Garden Centre from 1PM-5PM.
